Rockwell Group Middle East’s managing director Chuck Wood told Hotelier Middle East, the upmarket Japanese restaurant chain had been in “conversations with developers here in the Middle East” about a possible hotel venture. The firm designed the first Nobu Hotel in New York, and the UAE’s first Nobu restaurant in Dubai’s Atlantis hotel on The Palm Jumeirah. “We have one or two specific locations in the US. I know they have had some conversations with developers here in the Middle East. I believe they are probably interested in coming here at some point,” said Wood. Nobu, co-owned by actor Robert De Niro, is set to open a new restaurant in Doha, to be located at the Four Seasons. This will also be designed by Rockwell Group, the report said. |
